This was a big part of the whole idea behind the genesis of COBOL - so that accountants and executives could read programs. It wasn't perfect, but it was *immensly* easier for a layperson to understand over machine or Assembler.

Just getting started on my vibe coding journey and enjoying it but you summed up exactly what I am running into. As the code gets more complex I need to direct more or the LLMs start going off the rails. I need a high level crash course on app anatomy to be a better manager.

Grew up on commodore basic in the late 70s, haven’t written any code of any sort from scratch in almost 25 years - can easily make sense of python and property insult the AI bot when it gets it wrong.
